Oriental languages

Oriental countries have always been a mystery for the Western ones. Nowadays, when international communication is developing at an enormous rate, Oriental languages has become a means of business communication due to the development of the economics of their countries. Tourists from all over the world go to Japan, Korea and China. There are lot of people who speak several Western languages, but there are much less people who know Japanese, Korean or Chinese. That’s why knowledge of an Oriental language gives great advantages in the modern world.

Chinese language

Chinese is spoken by a great amount of people all over the world. Nowadays it has become the language of business, for Chinese economics has been developing at an enourmous rate. Chinese business companies and academic institutions often invite foreign specialists, including Russian ones. Learning Chinese is a difficult work, but the knowledge of this languages gives you great advantages in the modern world. Korean language

Korean has one of the most logical language structure among the world’s languages. Yet it’s not so easy to learn as it may seem. Many people consider Korean as related to Japanese and Chinese. But it is not quite so. Japanese and Korean are kindred languages, but Chinese and Korean are not. Chinese has had a great influence on Korean and Korean has a great amount of loan words from Chinese. But these languages have different historic roots. It is interesting that a sentence in Korean is built from its end. Many Korean words have no Russian analogs. Thus, translation from Korean into Russian is very difficult, but well-paid work! Japanese language

Japan is an oriental country with peculiar and ancient culture and customs. It has been attracting many foreigners since becoming an open country and nowadays many people take a great interest in Japanese food, medicine and lifestyle. Japanese is the official language of the country. Of course, many Japanese people speak English, as they necessarily learn it at schools and universities. But they have a great respect towards their native language. It’s interesting that the Japanese language has three different alphabets. Two of them include about 50 symbols each and are comparatively easy to remember. The third alphabet consists of about 200 hieroglyphs and is very difficult to learn. Japanese verbs and adjectives are declined according the time and politeness, but there are almost no irregular verbs. Also, there is no such notion as gender in Japanese.
